Heroes to Hives offers a comprehensive online beginning beekeeping course designed to train U.S. military veterans and their families in the art and science of beekeeping. 2026 Events
- April 30, 2026 – Webinar 6-7pm EST
- Discovering the Slovenian Až Hive Experience: Step inside Slovenia’s beekeeping tradition and see what makes the AŽ hive unlike any other. In this immersive webinar, you’ll take a virtual trip through Slovenian apiaries to experience their cultural roots, clever design, and practical advantages. Whether you’re a new beekeeper or a seasoned pro, you’ll come away inspired by a system built for both productivity and pleasure. - July 15-16, 2026 – In-person training
- Bee Calm Bee Well Facilitator Training in Brimley, MI. The Bee Calm Bee Well Facilitator Training is a two-day, in-person program for clinicians and beekeeping educators to deliver nine evidence-based therapeutic practices proven to support veteran mental health. Participants learn to lead mindful hive sessions, integrate therapy into beekeeping education, and foster well-being through nature-based engagement.

- TBD – 2026 Heroes to Hives and VA Beekeeping Conference
- We are hoping to host our 3rd annual National conference virtually again this year with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Likely will be in the fall/winter of 2026.
